Grand Opening Dutch Lily Days

At this moment the Dutch Lily Days are held for the fourth time in a row. Tuesdag May 20 was the official opening at The Originals in Noorden. A spectacular opening ceremony declared the Dutch Lily Days for open and ushered in also the start of the Jubilee Year of The Originals because of their 25th anniversary.
The Originals, a joint venture between four companies, Q.J. Vink & Zn. BV , Boltha BV, W. van Lierop & Zn. BV, and Lily Nursery De Plas BV was founded in 1989. For 25 years, she is working on product innovation and innovation within the lily segment. By bringing innovative shapes and strong concepts on the market The Originals has become a well-known player in the lily branch. For the third time The Originals held the event “Contrary Lily” during the Dutch Lily Days. Because of their 25th anniversary, the theme of this year is “Contrary Lily Celebration”. It was a special event thanks to the help of the 10 examinees of the Wellant College Aalsmeer. They made flower arrangements with lilies on location. All these arrangements were exhibited at the opening and they provided an extra festive atmosphere. After judging the flower arrangments of the examinees, flower stylist Desiree Glasbergen made an Jubilee arrangment with the lilies Outback and Metropolitan. The opening act was done by the young Originals; they pressed a button and confetti splashed around. This caused a spectacular opening!
With the introduction of the Dutch Lily Days three years ago, the lily cultivation hit a new path. By combining the open days of the various companies in the lily branch in just one week, the Dutch Lily Days form the display case for the global lily cultivation. The future of the lily assortment takes shape during these days. Last year, in the third edition, the number of visitors rose. Interested parties came from a growing number of countries and planned in their calendar to visit the Dutch Lily Days.
The success of the Dutch Lily Days has not gone unnoticed . The media pay close attention to the open days of the trading companies in the lily branch. And the promotion committee of the lily cultivation ‘Your Lily’ will also actively support the event. As the 16 participating companies using the Dutch Lily Days to show their latest varieties on display; ‘Your Lily’ focuses on the consumer.
The Originals will welcome visitors to the Dutch Lily Days till Friday May 23 in the exhibition area at the Ir.J.Nysinghweg 1a in Noorden.
